Reef Systems is seeking a certified athletic trainer to support the Secret Service at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Beltsville, Maryland 20708.
Minimum Qualifications:
Place of Performance:
The work to be performed under this contract/order will be performed at James J. Rowley Training Center, Beltsville, Maryland and, when directed, other locations within the United States of America. Telework is not an option for these positions.
Hours of Operation:
The contractor is responsible for conducting business, during the hours of 0600-1430 or 0900-1730 Eastern Standard Time (EST) Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. For other than firm fixed price contracts/orders, the contractor will not be reimbursed when the Government facility is closed for the above reasons. The contractor must at all times maintain an adequate workforce for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined within this PWS when the Government facility is not closed for the above reasons. When hiring personnel, the contractor shall keep in mind that the stability and continuity of the workforce are essential.
Recognized Holidays:
Services will not be required on federal holidays.

Reef Systems is seeking a certified athletic trainer to support the Secret Service at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Beltsville, Maryland 20708.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five or more years of specialized experience, which includes sustained experience developing short and long-term sport or mission specific performance programs resulting in attributable success for elite athlete populations (i.e., Division I collegiate, Olympic, profession level, or military/public safety/SOF tactical professionals) and specific knowledge and experience in the use of state of the art computer based software and other instructional/evaluative material, modern and specialized equipment, and training aids and devices applicable to program objectives.
- Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Certified Athletic Training (ATC) certification.
- During 40 hours of work each week, serve as a performance improvement coach and advisor working with USSS Health and Resiliency Training Section leadership to provide impactful resources as well as in-person support, data collection/analyzation, and presentation of program outcomes as directed. Telework will not be available for this position.
- Assist in the development of preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care programs for USSS members.
- Advises and provides counsel to USSS personnel on matters related to injury prevention, care, conditioning, rehabilitation, training, diet, rest, and related matters.
- Measures and applies protective and therapeutic bandaging, wrapping, strapping, padding, and other protective devices to prevent injury to USSS trainees.
- Refers USSS personnel to Emergency Services, or allied health care specialists as appropriate.
- Be capable to complete and pass the USSS Physical Fitness Assessment, achieving a minimum rating of “Good” in all areas, or 12 out of 16 points, for their applicable gender and age.
- This position has a physical requirement and demands that the applicant by physically capable of lifting, pushing, or dragging at least 100 pounds.
- This position involves outdoor as well as indoor activities and the applicant must be capable of working outdoors for extended periods in all weather.
