Project Manager IV

We are currently searching for a Project Manager to provide various administrative non- personal services for the Department of Logistics, Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC).

Qualifications:
Minimum 3-years of experience over the previous 5-years in Project Management and / or Construction experience (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil or Architectural).

Tasks:
  • The Project Manager shall assist the Government Representative in developing and executing construction projects from concept through final acceptance in support of the BAMC mission. This may include projects that have large and complex scopes, long-range time frames and a high level of impact. Those projects require highly specialized skills, and/or are projects that are multi-agency or enterprise-wide. Technical assistance will be required for the following: developing government estimates, providing recommendations on the selection of materials and colors, coordinating with customers, scheduling, quality assurance inspections, review final of “As Built” drawings, providing recommendations to final project acceptance and turnover and assisting in warranty support.
 
  • The Project Manager shall demonstrate the ability to implement knowledge of Army healthcare facility management processes and organizations, as well as standardized US Army facility and installation administrative practices, guidelines, and procedures in order to validate and distill work process/work management studies, implementation and execution.
 
  • The Project Manager shall assist the Government Representative in collecting and validating existing requirements and preparing supporting materials for BAMC projects.
 
  • The Project Manager shall assist the Government Representative in collecting equipment lists, planning information, and preparing supporting material to analyze equipment requirements of intended to support the replacement of complex medical equipment and biomedical systems and assist in providing facility support services to develop improvements or recommend changes as required to support the current situation and projected requirements.
 
  • Project Manager shall assist the government representative in documenting tasks, attend staff meetings, and provide status reports/briefings as necessary and will interact with customers in a courteous manner that reflects favorably on BAMC.
 
  • The Project Manager shall communicate using telephones, voice mail, pagers, pneumatic tube system, mail, outlook mail, Internet, and fax machines using all available communication devices to enhance customer assistance. When answering or communicating with customers, employees shall identify themselves as contractors. Must have computer, office automation, and keyboard skills. Intermediate level knowledge of Excel, Word, and email applications.
 
  • Project Manager shall complete all required government unique training during time coordinated with their company supervisor.

Place of Performance:
Department of Logistics at the BAMC Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX
Work Schedule:
Work schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM; however, schedule may have to be flexible but in no case will it exceed 40 hours per week.

U.S. Citizenship:
Employee must be a U.S. citizen. For the purpose of base and network access, possession of a permanent resident card (“Green Card”) does not equate to U.S. citizenship.

Installation Access:
Access to U.S. installations, buildings and controlled areas is limited to personnel who meet security criteria and are authorized.

Work Attire:
Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance. No clothing made of see-through material, cutoffs, tank tops, torn/ripped clothing, sleepwear, sandals, or clothing that displays offensive slogans or images. No athletic or athletic style clothing (e.g., shorts, jogging suits, sweat suits, leggings, or t- shirts). In all cases, clothing shall fit to provide a professional appearance in keeping with the normally accepted standards of dress, and not present an unfavorable appearance upon the Government.
