Mandatory Qualifications:
 
  • 4+ years in human resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study or in lieu thereof relevant and verifiable HR experience.
  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are highly desired.   If you do not have one of these, you should be willing to complete a certification within the first year of employment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to view issues with an objective lens.
  • Knowledgeable in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion.
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Unimpeachable ethics, integrity, and standards.
  • Deep knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure.
  • Strong understanding of the onboarding process.
  • Experienced with exit interviews.
  • A comprehension of the key principles of employment law, including but limited to EEOC regulations, ADA, AAP, FMLA, EEO, and OSHA requirements.
  • Solid understanding of HR software such as Proliant and Zenefits and CATS Applicant Tracking Systems or similar, and strong familiarity of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).


Highly Desired:
 
  • Experience in government contracting.
  • Experience staffing for healthcare.
  • Experience with the credentialing process.


Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Institute guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and assist in mediation as needed.
  • Retain historical human resource records by filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  • Assist with the company newsletter.
  • Ensures the completion and accuracy of monthly reports (Open Requisition Report, Absenteeism & Turnover Report and Affirmative Action reporting) and works on special projects as assigned.
  • Provide sourcing and recruiting support as needed.
  • Oversees exit interviews and offboarding procedures.
  • Support employees such that they follow all policies and procedures.
  • Build up the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Analyze reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs.
  • Evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws.
  • Managing performance appraisal and feedback processes.
  • Study compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits.
  • Supervise all HR activities, to include but not limited to assisting with employee payroll, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team.
  • Oversee human resource staff by orienting and providing training for employees.


Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM ET – 5:00 PM ET (with a one-hour lunch); however, sometimes it may be necessary to start earlier or finish later, as business dictates.  The ideal candidate for this position should be able to accommodate a flexible schedule.


Location:

The corporate office is at 1230 S.E. Maynard Rd., Suite #202, Cary, NC 27511 with a hybrid work schedule - onsite at least once a week typically on Wednesdays.
