Complete all unit and Medical Group (MDG) in-processing requirements, to include computer-based trainings as required by the Department of Defense, Air Force, or the Medical Group training, on-line Relias health training, Genesis training, newcomer's orientation and other job specific trainings which could include simulations and other hands-on training opportunities/assessments. Contractor personnel may be required to participate in specific operator training activities to better understand SOP performance and injuries.
Conduct intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments by applying professional knowledge of the principles, theories, procedures, and practices of social work to conduct intake evaluations on a routine and emergency basis in accordance with applicable USAF and DoD guidelines.
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, psychological consultation, education, and training to other mental health professionals, medical staff, military commanders/senior leaders, and other DoD and civilian providers.
Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity.
Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help patient problem-solve solutions to barriers.
Provide patients with education regarding their mental health condition and resiliency techniques.
Routinely staff difficult cases with the referring provider, behavioral health consultant, and/or psychiatry consultant.
Perform case management functions (i.e., providing services to assess the needs of Government personnel when appropriate and arranges, coordinates, monitors, evaluates, and advocates for a package of multiple services to meet the specific and/or complex needs).
Conduct required clinical and non-clinical administrative responsibilities and maintains patient care records IAW DHA.
Observe and participate in unit activities to identify psychosocial stressors and barriers to optimal human performance.
Monitor access to care and employs electronic systems, software programs, and databases for patient care documentation and administrative responsibilities. (i.e. Mandatory 72hr MHS Genesis patient entries)
Attend weekly staff meetings
Minimum Requirements
Must show recently experience within the last 2 years consistent with DHA-PM.AND 5+ years of experience as a LCSW in behavioral health, mental health, and/or substance abuse. Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
